As for your piece on the nature of heresy, I am pleased to learn that Augustine, W. K. Pendleton, and Leroy Garrett agree with me. I have held that a heretic is a divisive person, not simply one who is wrong on some doctrine. I may be right, but if I drive’ someone out who doesn’t see it my way, I am a heretic. And I maybe wrong, but if I do not make it a test of fellowship and welcome those who disagree with me, I am not a heretic. —Harold Fox, Edgar, Nebraska

Sectarianism offers man confusion and frustration and causes his spirit to be in a constant state of agitation and fear. Jesus Christ offers man salvation, abundant living, and the peace that passes understanding. While many people realize this, they fail to distinguish between Christ and our system, and with good reason. Trying to convert people to our system is not preaching the gospel. —J. J.
