Oscar Cullmann's Baptism in the New Testament, originally published in German by one of the great New Testament scholars, takes the position that the essence of Christian baptism is the reception of a member into the Body of Christ. The Living Psalms by Claud Westermann is a pleasure to read. You will appreciate its direct style that is without jargon. It divides psalms into such types as narrative, trust, lament, praise, blessing. It is translated from the German, and while scholarly it is practical. $17.95.

We mention again that Michael Green is always exciting to read, and his book on I Believe in the Holy Spirit is especially so in that it deals with the work, baptism, gifts, and fulness of the Spirit.
