Evangelical Renewal in the Mainline Churches, edited by Ronald H. Nash, will hold interest for our readers, one reason being there is a chapter on the Disciples of Christ by Grant Edwards. which not only quotes from my history book, The Stone-Campbell Movement, but refers to this journal in its treatment of renewal efforts within the larger Disciples heritage. Because of its irenic spirit, Edwards writes, Restoration Review is read by all three churches of the movement. But there is much more. The Bible Speaks to You by Robert McAfee Brown is one of the few books that lean linger with and come back to over and over. It is delightfully informative and relevant. He not only zaps one with a lot of stuff one has never thought about on what the Bible is and where it came from, but challenges one to think anew on what the Bible means by such topics as the last judgment, the Second Coming, and what happens when we die. $9.95 postpaid.

The Bible dictionary I use and highly recommend is The New Westminster Dictionary of the Bible, edited by one of my old profs at Princeton, Henry Snyder Gehman. It is a veritable goldmine of information. The Christian Century says it is "a giant and a bargain." $22.95.
