I was in Washington D.C. working with a committee on a revision of the Armed Forces Hymnal, of which I was the musical editor in 1959. It is unbelievable what has happened to the Catholics. They no longer want a Catholic Section, but want a section of Christian Hymns as distinguished from the Jewish music and liturgy, which uses mostly the Hebrew language. Latin is out completely for the time being. This would have been unthinkable a few years ago. — from a professor of music, Princeton Seminary.

I find yours, Carl Ketcherside’s, and sometimes Mission invaluable in preparing Sunday School lessons. We are using a book written by one of our preachers. It is so bad, containing the usual Church of Christ viewpoint, that r thought of sending it to you for review. But I decided the less exposure for this book, the better, for publishers usually take any review as a good review from the viewpoint of sales.
