RESPONSE FROM READERS
Let me commend you on your article, “Saved by Grace-And Only
By Grace,” for I agree wholeheartedly. I am not subscribing
simply hoping to read what I already believe, but anticipate that
future articles will stimulate my thinking . . . My views, which
appear to be much like yours, have caused a rather “lonely”
ministry here . . . California
I appreciate Restoration Review very much, and would like to
reserve two copies of “Resources of Power.” The article
on angels was particularly meaningful. I felt that God had sent help
to me in just such a way, as I had unbelievable strength the weeks
following my husband’s death. Then the question was
asked—ministering angels or the Holy Spirit?—a West
Virginia Lutheran
I feel that the church in . . . . . . . . is
doing fine and is getting fairly converted from selfish legalism to
freedom in Christ.—an elder in a Church of Christ
In studying the practice of the early church and the New Testament
scriptures, I conclude that our Minister System is about the same as
the Pastor System of the denominations. Our preachers are really the
pastors in the churches, while the elders should be the pastors. We
have created a special class of college trained men and made a
distinction between the minister and the laymen. Is this not the same
as the denominational distinction between clergy and laity?—Illinois
The Review is the only paper of the many I get that I sit
down with and read every little morsel of truth. What a tasty
dish!—West Virginia
(If he reads only the truth I am sure that many would say it should not take him very long! And maybe so.—Ed.)
